What creative ideas work for a company party?
Instead of a restaurant dinner with a seating plan, this is a party where the team really bonds. At Winterquartier Berlin, that means Bavarian curling as a tournament, ice skating on real ice with a live DJ, winter games like log sawing and nail driving – then mulled wine (Glühwein) by the fire barrel or a party in the club. All on one site, no changing venues. For a Berlin-wide overview – including ideas beyond Winterquartier – see our guide 10 Christmas party ideas for Berlin.
What can you do at a company party?
One mix works best: activity, food and a free-flowing finish. Start with a hosted programme – a Bavarian curling tournament or team winter games. Then food, whether market-stall street food or a seated menu. Then the bar, music and a dance floor. You can also book hosted Christmas karaoke, Christmas bingo or a winter-edition pub quiz. Frequently asked questions about company Christmas parties
How many guests can Winterquartier Berlin host?
From 50 to 2,000 guests. Hall B holds up to 400, Hall C up to 250 – combine both for up to 650. The all-inclusive Christmas market starts from 20 guests, and hiring the whole venue exclusively takes up to 2,000.
What does a company Christmas party at Winterquartier Berlin cost?
Christmas dinner menus start at €99.00 net per person (3 courses) – you’ll find all menus and prices openly listed on the dinner page. For the all-inclusive Christmas market and event space, we put together a personalised offer within 24 hours, with clear package prices and no hidden extra costs.
Is a company Christmas party compulsory?
No. There is no legal obligation for either employers or employees. If an employer does invite staff, the invitation must be open to everyone in the company or department. Taking part is voluntary, and the party usually takes place outside working hours.
Does the party stay tax-free?
Staff events in Germany stay exempt from payroll tax up to €110 gross per employee. The allowance covers up to two events a year (correct as of 2026; this is not tax advice, so please check with your tax team). Many of our packages fit comfortably within that limit.
Where is the venue, and how do you get there?
At the Napoleon Komplex in Friedrichshain, Berlin – a former industrial site, centrally located and easy to reach by public transport. Full details are on our Directions.
Does Winterquartier Berlin work for small teams too?
Yes. The all-inclusive Christmas market package is available from 20 guests bookable – ideal for small teams and departments. You get all the buzz of the market atmosphere without paying for a large space. For a seated dinner in a smaller group, our events team will help you find the right setup in Hall C.
Can you book the venue exclusively, with no other guests?
Yes. Book Hall B and Hall C exclusively, on their own or combined. Larger companies can take the whole of Winterquartier Berlin – market grounds, indoor ice rink and halls, just for you.
When should you book?
The popular Advent Fridays and Thursdays in November and December are usually the first to go. Enquire in summer or early autumn and you’ll have your pick of dates.
Are there vegetarian and vegan options?
Yes. Every course at dinner comes with a vegan alternative, and the market has vegan bratwurst, flammkuchen and more. Vegetarian options are available for every format.
